Hon Ken Wyatt MP, Senator Matt O’Sullivan, the McGovern Foundation , MPA Skills, and, the Department of Education – Site Visit

On March 15th, the Motivation Foundation had the honour of welcoming the Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP, Senator Matt O’Sullivan, the McGovern Foundation , MPA Skills, and, the Department of Education, Western Australia to our West Swan Civil and Mining Academy.
We had a collaborative discussion aimed in finding solutions to our current roadblocks. Not only our students, but many young West Australians have difficulties obtaining their drivers licences, this creates a huge barrier to employment opportunities for our students after graduation.
We were able to collectively discuss ways in which we may be able to assist each other’s cause, whilst identifying what resources we are lacking to reach our for-purpose organisations.
After our meeting, Senator Matt O’Sullivan spoke about his findings and thoughts from his time at the Motivation Foundation at the Parliament Senate Session held on the 29th of March (extract from Hansard attached).
We hope that the McGovern Foundation can access a greater number of vehicles, and mentors to instruct the many young, indigenous students that require their amazing and in demand service. Together, we aim to create opportunity and independence.
