Motivation’s first work placement student

Meet Debbie, Motivation Foundation’s first work placement student!

Debbie is a proud Aboriginal woman from the Wagyl Kaip region of WA (Great Southern) and a shining example of a young person who has chosen an alternate pathway to achieve future success.

Once Debbie has completed her placement – she will have earned her Certificate II Surveying, and have completed her WACE (Year 12) through her school Alta-1.

For the past two weeks Debbie has been working diligently in our West Swan office assisting our Operation’s Manager Vanessa Mounsey with a range of administrative tasks relating to our Academy training programs.Meet

Deb’s placement has been far from mundane. In the short time she has been with us – Deb has attained a white card and even met the Premier! She is also looking forward to learning how to operate the big yellow machines.

In her spare time Debbie enjoys the freedom of driving her car to wherever she likes (she received her licence last month). After she finishes her hours with us, Deb is planning to travel to Uluru to gain more work/life experience. When she returns – Deb says she would like to work at Motivation Foundation or/ on the mines.

Thanks for all your hard work Deb and we hope to see you back at Motivation Foundation in the future!
